A glass cabochon to create your own personalized jewelry.
Choose a pretty image, stick it to the back of the glass and use a glue bail to obtain a superb, unique pendant made by you!
An original gift idea: choose photos of your loved ones, children, babies for a personalized gift.
Use the flat side of the cabochon to glue the image.
For better adhesion, clean the cabochon with soapy water or alcohol before sticking your image.
Advice :
- We advise you to test your glue on a piece of glass or transparent plastic to be sure that it is transparent.
- If you choose to glue a photo printed with an inkjet printer, do a test to see if the ink does not bleed with the glue. The ideal in this case is to apply a layer of varnish (or diluted vinyl glue) to the image before sticking it. You can also use photos from magazines, decorative paper, dried flowers, etc.
- Cut out an image larger than the cabochon, once the glue has dried you can cut cleanly with scissors all around the cabochon
- To waterproof the back of the paper pendant, use a varnish glue.
- You can also make pretty magnets. Glue a magnet to the back of the cabochon in place of the bail.
