Adopt these faceted glass beads which are in the shape of drops drilled lengthwise. They are ideal for your jewelry creations such as necklaces, bracelets, earrings or rings.
The teardrop shape of your bead will add originality to your unique and personalized creations.
Mix them with seed beads, gemstones, sequins or metal beads. Add tassels, stopper beads, a pendant...anything is possible, just let your imagination run wild.
Creating a long necklace:
1. For this long necklace, you will need beading wire with a maximum diameter of 6mm; crimp beads (x4), these teardrop beads, stones, star charms (x10), the star pendant, a clasp and jump rings!
2. Take your beading wire, thread two crimp beads onto it. Pass it through a jump ring and then thread it back through your crimp beads to form a loop. Tighten the wire well, then crimp your beads. Do not cut the small end! This will be inserted into the next beads!
3. Thread your faceted AB color teardrop beads in the order you wish. Accessorize them with other glass beads, natural stones such as round and light wood; thread your charms onto your assembly.
4. When you reach the middle of your long necklace, about 32 cm, attach your star pendant with a jump ring or a bail.
5. Then, do the same on the other side of the beading wire. When you reach the end of your assembly, slide your two crimp beads onto it, then into the clasp and form the loop as on the other side.
6. Tighten the wire completely (but not too much, as it should not be too stiff or it will break in your jewelry box). When you feel it's good, it's time to crimp your beads with your fine flat nose pliers!
And there you have it, you've successfully completed your creation all by yourself! Congratulations to you, be proud of yourself! Your DIY fancy long necklace is a great success. Now it's up to you to create others, and why not a pair of dangling earrings, or an elastic bracelet!
