Today, I am going to answer a recurring question that you ask yourself when ordering or after placing an order: how to evaluate the size of the wires so that they can pass through the beads?

It's very simple and easy to explain. There are several ways to do things.

First way:

You have stones (amazonite, sodalite, etc.) and/or fancy beads at home. You don't know how big your hole is. Take your ruler (or your child's). Measure your hole. If it is 2mm, you know that your wire must be 1mm or 1.5mm thick maximum.

Second way:

You have not yet purchased the materials or stones. When ordering, read the item announcements carefully. If you see that the thickness of the wire is 3mm and you have put stones in your basket (online) with a hole of 2mm, the wire will never fit into the hole of the bead/stone

Third way:

If you want to thread a ribbon or leather thread into one of the beads and want to go shopping, take your stones and beads with you.

When you are in the store, ask the seller if it is possible to try the wire/ribbon through the bead hole. If your bead hole is 5mm, choose a ribbon/wire less than 4.8mm thick.

Attention !

If you want to double your wire (elastic, leather, etc.) take at least 1mm below the size of the hole in your pearl/stone.
